| pashdown | My wife Robin has taught French, and our kids were raised learning that, but at a certain age they start to demand English. |

| Clarity | My son spoke nothing but Dutch until he started daycare. He's just now taking an interest in it again. My daughter is just now playing with it but it's definitely not terribly interesting to her |

| pashdown | A young woman spoke of working for $5/hr sorting coal at a local coop mine without gloves, female bathrooms or dressing rooms. |

| Clarity | You know I heard from Kucinich that had minimum wage increased as much as corporate salaries, they would be at $15 an hour today?? |

| pashdown | When they tried to organize, they were fired. It has been two years now with no proper resolution. |

| pashdown | Senator McCoy asked some questions and Rocky made some statements about city workers. He also read the statement that the advisory board came up with at the end. |

| pashdown | It was very educational for me. |

| Clarity | I am extremely worried about labor in Utah. There seems to be such a great disconnect. |

| pashdown | One path that might be worthwhile to explore is to get responsible businesses to band together. |

| pashdown | In order to promote such responsibility and support the struggles of employees at irresponsible businesses. |

| Clarity | I'd like to see that happen - I'd really like to see businesses insisting on a living wage. |

| pashdown | Yes, I agree. |
|---|
| pashdown | Such example models are corporations like CostCo and FedEx. |
|---|
| Clarity | Yes - and I buy from them for that very reason. |

| Clarity | I think if people realized what it meant to buy from Costco versus Walmart, they'd choose Costco |
